3:00 pm Arrive to Camp Fortune. Here you will be provided with your lift passes(tickets). Each ticket will have to be attached to your jacket (we recommend attaching it to a pocket zipper if you have one).
After getting off the bus you will be directed to the Rental Shop where you will collect your equipment. Please note that you will not be allowed into the rental area with your backpack. Leave any extra belongings in the bus.
You will be asked by the rental personnel to remember a 3 digit "number" engraved in your skies. In this way when it is time to return them you will make sure you are returning "your" skies and not someone else's.
If you don't need a beginner lesson head towards the ski lifts and start having fun. Make sure you take a look at Camp Fortune's map and get yourselves familiarized with all the ski runs available on Saturday and their levels of difficulty.
It is highly recommended that you DO NOT try really difficult runs (i.e. black ones in the map) if you are not an experienced skier. By doing so you can get yourselves or someone else hurt.

What To Bring
WINTER CLOTHING is a MUST. Make sure you bring:
- Several layers including warm sweaters,
- Winter jacket
- Balaclava to cover your face (you can find them at many stores: Sports Xperts, Canadian Tire, Walmart, Giant Tiger etc)
- Good gloves, scarf, long johns,
- we highly recommend you bring "water-proof" or "snow" pants as well.
If you do not own a certain piece of clothing we suggest you visit "Value Village" a second hand store where you can find good products at reduced prices.
Don't forget your camera, snacks and water for the bus ride.
4.00 - 4.30 pm The group lessons will begin sometime around 4.00 PM. Follow your guide to the meeting area where your instructor awaits. They last one hour and will provide you with knowledge necessary to start skiing. You have the rest of the evening to try out what you learned. Please make sure you stay in "green" ski runs only. They are the easiest and more beginner friendly ones.
