Detailed Itinerary - 2017

Here is your itinerary:

 

Friday.

2:45 pm  Meet us at 90 University Private, Ottawa, K1N 6N5. This is a residence building on the University of Ottawa campus [See our map below]. The Ottawa Residences Building is right in front of a big parking lot where our bus will pick us up. Here you will have a chance to gather and get to know your fellow travellers before we set out.

3:00 pm The bus departs at 3:00 pm sharp. Don’t be late, we will not be able to wait for you and we do not want you to miss this awesome trip.

8:30 pm Arrive to Niagara Falls. We will be staying at The Empress Inn and Suites hotel by the Falls (5951 Clark Avenue, L2G 3W3 Niagara Falls)

 

9:30 pm Come out for a walk and discover the falls at night! They are just AWESOME! We will show Clifton Hill, where most of the attractions are. Enjoy the rest of the night on your own.

Saturday

7:00 am- 9:00 am [OPTIONAL] We will be heading down to AlMac's Buffet (5435 Ferry Street, Niagara Falls. L2G 1R5)

This is a cheap 'all you can eat' breakfast restaurant. For $6.99 you can eat all of the bacon, eggs, sausages, pancakes, waffles, fruits, cereals, yogurt etc. Drinks are not included int he price.

 

10:00 am At this time we will check out of our hotel and head down to the falls to enjoy some of the attractions that the town offers. We recommend you do 'The journey behind the Falls' you will get VERY close to the falls!

12:40 pm Get back to the hotel and board the bus to continue the trip. Destination: Toronto

 

2:00 pm Check-in to our hotel: Knights Inn Downtown Toronto (117 Pembroke Street, M5A 2N9 Toronto, Canada)

 

2:30 pm Meet at the lobby of the hotel and join us for a guided group walk of Downtown Toronto (approx 1.5 h). Check out: Yonge street, the Eaton Center, Nathan Phillip Square (Great group photo here!), the entertainment district, financial district and the bustling streets in between.

Enjoy some free time on your own.

9:00 pm Meet back at the hotel. Let's go out for some pre-drinks and a fun night out! We will be hitting a cool Toronto club!

Sunday

7:00 am- 9:00 am  Our hotel has breakfast included. Enjoy some breakfast and get ready to check out. 

10.00 am Check out of our hotel and head to Toronto's harbor front. [OPTIONAL] Take the ferry and enjoy a short journey to The Toronto Islands. Explore the beach, the town with its quaint little cottage-style houses and the amazing view of Toronto's skyline.

Once back in mainland take some free time and explore some more of this great city.  (Kensington Market and Chinatown are quite interesting)

3:00 pm Be back at the hotel at 3.00 pm to collect your bags and start the trip back to Ottawa

3:15 pm Board and bus and say good bye to Toronto

9:00 pm Arrive to 90 University in Ottawa

 

What To Bring: Your camera, water bottles, good walking shoes, some changes of clothing including warm stuff, your adventurous spirit and extra money for food and souvenirs!

City Hall

Toronto's Old City Hall was home to its city council from 1899 to 1966 and remains one of the city's most prominent structures. The building is located at the corner of Queen and Bay Streets, across Bay Street from Nathan Phillips Square and the new City Hall in the centre of downtown Toronto. The heritage landmark has a distinctive clock tower which heads the length of Bay Street from Front Street to Queen Street as a terminating vista.

Old City Hall was designated a National Historic Site in 1984.

SkyWheel

This ferris wheel is just the ticket for people who want to escape the crowds. Its pods were precision-engineered in Switzerland to withstand year-round use. Journey behind the falls
