Here is your itinerary:
Canada is known for its vast landscapes and majestic wildlife. This is your chance to experience it all in one safe place. We show you the forest, the mountain, the lake, the prairie and the boreal region with their furry inhabitants.
See: elk, bison, foxes, wolves, bears, moose, turkeys, raccoons, coyote, reindeer and many many more. You get so close to these animals you can touch them!
For this trip we depart at 9 AM (weekend departures) or at 12 PM (weekday departures). Check the date of your trip to see which one applies to you.
Meet us at 90 University Private, Ottawa, K1N 6N5. This is a residence building on the University of Ottawa campus [See our map below]. The Ottawa Residences Building is right in front of a big parking lot where our bus will pick us up. Here you will have a chance to gather and get to know your fellow travellers before we set out.
One hour after our departure we will arrive at Omega Park Welcome Centre**. Here you will have a chance to view the Park House, the gift shop, the panoramic view of Bird Lake as well as see small animals.
** Get ready as group challenges will begin at this time!
Board the bus again and begin the park adventure. In the safety of our bus, we will drive through the wildlife park, safari style, while viewing, feeding and interacting with the animals. You will be provided with carrots to feed them, and will be amazed at how close they will come to you. Enjoy this experience, the landscape and the park. You may be able to see the following animals: moose, deer, wild boar, buffalo, bison, caribou, coyotes, wolves, bears, foxes among others.
We will do a stop at the 'First Nation's Trail' where we will go for a mini hike around Lake Trout. If you are lucky there will be white tailed deer in this area and they will come right up to you, so keep some carrots handy!

Our next stop will be at the "Colonization Trail". Feel free to explore the area, it has teepees, settler homes and historic buildings. Have fun with white tail deer who will visit your picnic table and might want you to feed them (this is an excellent opportunity for great photos)
The park offers different animal presentations and shows. While in the area we will head to the wolf observatory where a park guide will do a wolf presentation.
** Please note that the Animal show and wolf presentation are: "weather-permitting" activities.
After the shows you can take a tractor Ride to the Old Farm. Here you will have free time to discover the animals, take photos of the beautiful surroundings and explore the old farm house. Return to the Picnic Area at your own pace. You can take the tractor again or you can walk back. Please give yourself about 15 to 20 min if you want to walk back.
[hint: some of our group challenges might need you go to the old farm :) ]
Once we are done in this area we will board the bus to finish our safari-style trip. This time we’ll take you to visit caribou, arctic wolves, alpine ibex and black bears.
At the end of the trip we will return again to the main Park's House in case you want to buy souvenirs and we'll depart for Ottawa.
The exact departure once again depends on the date selected. On weekends it will be around 3.30 PM, on weekdays it will be around 5.30 PM
