Itinerary for September 17, 2016
Discover Toronto and Niagara Falls
Your August 17, 2019 Itinerary
Here is your detailed itinerary:
KEEP CONNECTED AND INFORMED
We have created a What's app group for all members attending the trip. Please download the app if you don't have it and join this group:
It is important to stay in touch while travelling; especially if there are any last minute changes to be announced by your guide (like bus pickup addresses), you become separated from the group or are going to be late for a rendezvous.
This what's app group will also be good for anyone in the trip to share photos, let others know of cool spots you've come across while exploring, restaurants recommendations and pretty much anything we want.
WHAT TO BRING
good walking shoes
Appropriate clothing (check the weather forecast). Bring something warm as it might get a little cool at night.
Snacks for the bus ride
Your adventurous spirit and extra money for food and souvenirs!
6:45 am Meet us at 90 University Private, Ottawa, K1N 6N5. This is a residence building on the University of Ottawa campus [See our map below]. The building is right in front of a big parking lot where our bus will pick us up. Here you will have a chance to gather and get to know your fellow travellers before we set out.
7:00 am The bus departs at 7:00 am sharp. Don’t be late, we will not be able to wait for you and we do not want you to miss this awesome trip.
2:00 pm Arrive to Niagara Falls. We will drop you off at the beginning of Clifton Hill, one of the most visited streets in Niagara Falls. We will spend 3 hours in this amazing town. Your guide will show you around as you head to the Hornblower Cruise departure area.
3:00 pm Board the boat and enjoy a thrilling experience. You will get very close to the falls so be ready to get a little wet! After the boat ride you have 1.5 hours to discover Niagara Falls. Make sure you leave enough time to get back to the meeting spot to go to Toronto.
Check our "Places of Interest in Niagara" section below to familiarize yourself with the city and the many interesting places you can visit.
5:00 pm Meet at the same spot where you were dropped off and board the bus to continue with your adventure. It is your responsibility to be on time.
7:00 pm Arrive to downtown Toronto, Canada's largest city. We will spend 2 hours before heading to the hotel. We will explore a small area of downtown before going for dinner.
9:00 pm After dinner the bus will pick you up and take you to the hotel, where we will check in and rest.
7:00 am- 9:00 am A hot breakfast buffet is included in the package. Go to the dining area of the hotel and enjoy a hearty breakfast. We will be checking out at 9.30 am to go to Downtown Toronto.
9:30 am Check out and board the bus. We will be dropped off at the base of the CN Tower, one of the most iconic landmarks of Toronto. From here we will set out on a walking orientation tour of Toronto, where you will get familiarized with the different neighborhoods and be able to see some of the most important buildings and areas of this city.
After the orientation tour is over (approximately 1.5 h to 2 h) we suggest you take the ferry to the Toronto Islands where you will get the best views of Toronto's skyline (this is a great opportunity for amazing photos). The islands also host some of Toronto's beaches, a mini amusement park, an animal farm and a pedestrian village where no cars are allowed!
Alternatively you can go to the CN Tower and go up for also amazing views, visit some of the many great museums or the Aquarium.
We will spend a total of 6 hours in Toronto before we head back to Ottawa.
3:45 pm Meet us at the base of the CN Tower (same spot we were dropped off) to board the bus.
4.00 pm Say goodbye to Toronto and let's start our return to Ottawa. We will be making a stop in the way back for dinner and to stretch our legs.
9:30 pm Arrive to 90 University, at the University of Ottawa
