Montreal - Day Trip
Second largest French-speaking city in the WORLD
Parlez-vous Francais? Now is your chance to practice!
Today we bring you one of our favorite Canadian cities. A place filled with energy, good vibes and ever interesting festivals, art displays, architecture and FUN.
I'm always struck by the unbridled creativity of this city. You see it in the magnificent inventions being stirred up in restaurant kitchens, in the barroom and on stage, and you even see it walking down the street with incredible urban art lurking in unexpected places. The dual French-English mix adds dynamism to the city as does its unique mash-up of European and North American culture.

Our itinerary, day by day
Leave Ottawa in the morning and get hipped while you enjoy the 2 hours ride to Montreal.
We will start visiting the city at its highest point: Mont Royal. From this natural observatory, perched at the top of the Mountain that lends its name to the city we will admire this city-island (Yes, Montreal is actually one big island in the St Lawrence river).
Then we will head downtown and go for lunch. Here you will be able to walk around St Catherine's street, a road filled with businesses, shops, art and more. We recommend having lunch on St Dennis, a street where restaurants galore.
After lunch time we will head to the Old town and explore this area of Montreal. You will be able to see: the Old Port, Place d’Armes, Place Royale, and Place Jacques-Cartier; visit the beautiful City Hall, Notre-Dame Basilica, and the bustling streets of Montreal's thriving metropolis.
You will have free time to explore on your own as well.
We will be coming back at around 8 pm.
What our customers say about us:
I am so happy that I have met Carlos and Charlotte here in Canada. My friend and I have traveled with Round Tours for several times to Toronto, Niagara Falls, Quebec City and Montreal. The lovely and friendly couple CC have impressed us each time with picturesque views, highly-organized and interesting activities, famous landmarks, beautiful architecture and amazing walking routes. Providing the best of a place, RT will be my first choice when I am planning my next trip. The price is reasonable since most of us who join RT are still students. After so many trips, I have to say that it is total worth. Can’t wait to travel with them again. PS: I love the smiles of the CC Couple.
