Carnival in Quebec City

Carnival in Quebec City

WORLD's largest Winter Carnival

Explore Quebec City in the most magical way possible! This beautiful must-see destination is the heart of French Canada. For a long time a fortified town, the walls that surrounded it still stand the passing of time, encircling the old city's charming streets. Walk through the beautiful wall gates and enter this magical town.

With its distinctive European flair and feel, the cobblestone streets, boutiques, restaurants and old stone buildings make it one of the most picturesque cities in all of Canada.

Winter Carnival is a time of pure fun. The party atmosphere is everywhere and you will get access to it with the Effigy Pass provided by Round Tours.

We will have plenty of time to explore the town and enjoy its active nightlife.

Our itinerary, day by day

Day 1

Leave Ottawa around noon on Friday and enjoy the ride to Quebec City while our guide provides some animation, information about the destination and activities we will be able to enjoy during Carnival.

Arrive to Quebec City and check in. Later that day we will suggest going on a discovery and orientation tour of the old town (approx 2 h). This is an optional activity. You can decide to join or do something else. We will be checking out: Chateau Frontenac, Petit Champlain, Place Royal, City Hall, Parliament buildings and the bustling and quaint streets in between.

Have some free time to explore on your own and grab some dinner.

Looking for a fun night out? Clubs or bars to explore? There are plenty of options. Ask your Tour Leaders for some recommendations.

Day 2

Today we will be enjoying all sorts of Carnival activities. From Ice and snow sculptures, ax throwing, horse races to snow bathing competitions, nordik spa experiences, zip lining, snow palace and more, all in a wonderful and friendly atmosphere. For a full list of things we can do, check out the carnival's website:

Let's go dancing and clubbing at night!

Day 3

Today is our last day. We will check out at 10 am. You have 5 hours to enjoy carnival activities or walk around the city, visit museums, go shopping or do whatever your heart desires.

We will get together at 2.45 pm and depart for Ottawa at 3 pm.

What our customers say about us:

Round Tours is an amazing company. I have taken their trips skiing, to Montreal, and soon to Toronto. Every time I travel with Round Tours I feel valued and cared for. Carlos and Charlotte seem passionate about what they do, and they truly care that you are having a good time. When visiting Montreal my friend and I were thinking of visiting a museum, but we did not have wifi to check the museums in the area. Charlotte was very kind by personally searching for the best museums and directing us how to get there. This is just one of many examples of how Carlos and Charlotte demonstrate how much they care for you.

The sizing of the tours with Round Tours is absolutely perfect. For the most part all of our groups have been around 50 people, but many times it was less than 50 people. This means that you are able to get a personalized tour of each city. The structure of the tours are good for people who like to do their own thing and for people who want to stay in a group. By providing a loose itinerary with local tour guides, you can truly make the experience unique to your liking. I highly recommend Round Tours to anyone thinking of traveling outside of Ottawa. It is especially good for international students, because the quality of the trips are amazing and the trips are priced nicely. Round Tours is an amazing company with a truly nice and caring staff.
